Last weekend we went camping at Big Sur. It is a beautiful stretch of coastal California south of Monterey. We camped in a site that was surrounded by redwood trees and right next to a river.

The kids had fun.

| Iona and Amelia playing with the dirt! |
 |
| Arran, Amelia and Iona rafting down the river 'rapids'. This was in the campground. |
The campsite backed straight onto Julia Pfeiffer Burns State park so we could just hike from the campsite onto some trails.

| Found a log in the river - seemed fun to walk down to the end of it. |
 |
| More log fun. This time the fun was trying to walk up the log to the very end. |

And here, especially for Dunpa, is a photo of the albino Redwood tree. Its cool in a weird sort of way. The leaves were a yellow-ish white instead of the usual dark green. This tree was also in our campsite.
We all had a great time. The kids did not want to leave.
